Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencils 15th Anniversary Collection

I am absolutely in love with Urban Decay's 24/7 glide-on pencils! They are the only pencil eyeliners I have found that don't fade, stay in my waterlines and don't end up under my eyes instead of on them. I have pretty oily lids and wear contacts which does not make for ideal conditions when it comes to wearing eyeliner.

I was not initially going to buy this collection because of the price. $92 could buy a lot of eye shadows, definitely more than 15. But then I realized that $92 divided by 15 pencils made the pencils about $6 each which is less than half of the usual cost of $18/pencil if you bought them individually. Plus you also get their Grindhouse pencil sharpener practically for free (normal cost is $10). So I ended up purchasing the set after thinking about it for awhile. I'm glad I bought it when I did because they no longer offer this set on UD's website or at Sephora.

I love the packaging of UD products. It's pretty clear that they put a lot of time and thought into it and the presentation is really amazing. From the products I've ordered from them, It seems like they always put their boxes in these clear plastic sleeves that sometimes has something printed on it and sometimes does not. This particular plastic sleeve had the story of UD beautifully printed on the back. Forgive me for not showing it to you but the plastic is hard to photograph without getting this nasty glare as you can see from the above photos. The box the set came in has a magnetic flap to keep the box shut and the pencils themselves are neatly stored in a velvet covered plastic tray. Now on to the swatches and color descriptions.

L-R: Stray Dog, Corrupt, Bourbon, Midnight Cowboy
Stray Dog - Beautiful taupe color with silver shimmer

Corrupt - Dark brown with coppery gold shimmer

Bourbon - Medium brown with gold shimmer

Midnight Cowboy - Nude champagne with a gold sheen. I love this color! It's perfect for putting in your lower waterline for that extra wide-eyed look.

L-R: Baked, Stash, Mildew, Perversion
Baked - Perfect gold color. This would be perfect for festive holiday looks

Stash - Drab Army green with greenish gold shimmer

Mildew - Medium olive green with like colored shimmer

Perversion - Matte pure black. You can't get a pencil more black than this.

L-R: Electric, Binge, Ransom, Asphyxia
Electric - This is a really fun shimmery sky/pool blue. Can't quite call this electric blue in my opinion because it's not quite bright enough...at least on me.

Binge - Dusty purple. This one is a bit more on the matte side but is slightly shimmery.

Ransom - Bright blue-based purple. This is awesome for a fun pop of purple on your lashes.

Asphyxia - Gorgeous light fuschia with a blue/purple shift. The most unique of the eyeliner colors but also the most sheer. I wish it came out more opaque.

L-R: Rockstar, Zero, Uzi
Rockstar - Deep maroon with faint shimmer.

Zero - Their most famous black pencil which they include in almost every set they release. It's slightly more sheer than Perversion and is not as black.

Uzi - Shimmery gunmetal gray.

Overall I do like this set. All the pencils are really creamy and glide on really well with no tugging or pulling. Some of the colors I wouldn't really use but the others that I would use more than make up for it. Even though you can't get this set anymore (maybe eBay) I would still highly recommend trying out their pencils if you're looking for a pencil that will last all day.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Urban Decay Haul

I finally got my hands on my own Urban Decay Naked Palette! This palette has perpetually been sold out so when I saw that Urban Decay had it back in stock on their website I jumped on it. Since UD offers free shipping on orders over $50 I also purchased a travel size UDPP in Eden to bring my order to slightly over $50.  I placed my order on April 12 and received it April 15 so order processing and shipping was really quick. In addition to the items I ordered, I received a free sample of their lipstick in Gash.

Naked Palette!
The packaging of this palette is really awesome! I love the velvet feel of the case even though I know it'll be prone to getting dirty quickly. It's a really solid and sturdy case that definitely does not feel cheap. A travel size UDPP is also included in this set. I love how UD really takes the time to make their packaging look good. Even the back of the box the palette came in was beautifully illustrated with all the shadows in this palette, their names and the brush that comes with it.

The shades themselves are really really gorgeous. If you're traveling and can only take a limited amount of makeup with you I would definitely recommend taking this palette. It has everything you need to create beautiful every day looks as well as smoking hot evening looks. In fact, I'm planning on bringing only this palette with me on my honeymoon. ;) I will not be swatching this palette in this post because I want to do a comparison post between the UD version and the Silk Naturals clones so stay tuned for that post!
Inside the Naked Palette
I would highly recommend purchasing this palette when it is in stock! I really can't believe how quickly this palette sells out online and in stores considering it has been around for awhile. This palette is definitely going to become one of my favorite go-to palettes. I think UrbanDecay.com currently has some in stock so grab it while you can!
